The Grahamstown Photo A Day Project is a local initiative that aims to uplift the community through the medium of photography. Our intention is to celebrate the beautiful town we inhabit, to respect the diverse cultures of the people that call Grahamstown home and to marvel at the beauty of the city of sinners, saints, and students.

To do this, we need you.

We’re extending an invitation to all members of the community to submit their images showing the true unique vibe of Grahamstown. You know what we’re talking about… there’s the local folk, the donkeys, the dams, the churches, the schools, the hikes, the wind turbines, the game reserves, the sports teams.

We’re surrounded by beauty, let’s capture and share it.

How do I submit my images?

Complete the online form by clicking here.

> You can upload up to 5 images per submission.
> Images can be submitted in jpg, jpeg, png and gif formats.
> File size limit is 2mb per photo.

How will I know if my photo has been selected?

If a photo you have submitted is selected, you will be informed by e-mail of the date that your image will be used. On this date, your picture will be published on our website and Facebook page.

Can I submit someone else’s image?

No, the person who took the photo must accept the website’s Terms and Conditions when submitting their images.

Will I be credited?

Of course, we will site the photographer wherever the image is used. If you are a professional photographer, please feel free to include your website so our users can enjoy your other work.
